debut review: DYAN’s ‘St. James’

Although its technically summer, the ladies at velvet + vinyl are hardly taking vacation time. With the hussle and bussle of busy summer life full of interviews, photoshoots and events to attend, there is nothing I appreciate more than a nice playlist that can take me anywhere else when I am stressed out.

Recently, I stumbled onto DYAN. DYAN is composed of 3 humans Alexis Marsh, Sam Jones and Daniel Dorff Jr.

With ‘St. James’ finding its way onto popular music sites like hype machine and indie shuffle, its gaining attention and rightfully so.

Front woman Alexis Marsh’s voice is comorting and familiar. The instrumentals pair beautifully with her voice, soft and eloquent, successfully taking you somewhere quiet and safe. This is definitely a song that I can put on repeat and simultaniously de-stress to while getting work done.

I am definitely looking forward to what DYAN has in store for us in the upcoming year because now that I have heard this, I only want more.

Check out DYAN on sites below, and as always stay up to date with their touring schedule as well as new releases.

Enjoy. xx
