city inspo nyc style

Libby

I had the pleasure of spending last week in my favorite city of all-time: New York.

There’s a contagious energy in the Big Apple that thrives on everlasting inspiration. The people, the art, the architecture and the big ideas that came to life all influenced my approach to styling my look each day. I wore a ton of black (what’s new) but styled it with new statement pieces like my new Ellen Tracy black blazer, a simple but chic pair of white and gold sandals from Dolce Vita, my new 60s-inspired Teashade sunglasses and, as always, a few chic, timeless jewelry pieces.

b&w aesthetic (wouldn’t be a velvet + vinyl post without it, right?)

dimension. I found this to be effective in layering different fabrics to achieve a unique but unlikely look, such as my formal black blazer paired with black denim, a cotton white tank and a simple 12″ necklace

a minimal pop of color. typically a lip color, a pendant necklace or a bright-colored bag.
